Cheryl L. Kightlinger, 55, of Saegertown, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2020, at home, surrounded by her family.

Cheryl was born in Meadville, on September 8, 1964, a daughter of James and the late Judy (Brocious) Bernoski.

On June 24, 2017 Cheryl married Roger W. Kightlinger; he survives.

Cheryl was employed by SMC for 22 years, most recently in the Engineering Department. She had previously been employed by C & J and Combined Metal Tool Shop. In her earlier years she attended St. Philip Church, Crossingville. Cheryl was a 1982 graduate of Cambridge Springs High School. She was a member of Relay for Life Team M & M Walkers. She loved her beloved cat Bug and dog Chloe. Her hobbies and interests included following the Steelers as well as the Pirates, camping, playing cards, especially Hand and Foot.

In addition to her husband, Roger, Cheryl is survived by a daughter Amanda Howett (Jesse) of Morgantown, WV, a step son Benjamin Kightlinger of Saegertown, her father James Bernoski of Saegertown, two sisters Deborah Bernoski of Oil City, Barbara Niemann (Ryan) of Guys Mills, three brothers Michael Bernoski of Saegertown, Steven Bernoski of Slippery Rock, Timothy Bernoski (Danielle) of Townville, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her mother, Judy Bernoski, Cheryl was preceded in death by a step daughter Lindsay Kightlinger, and a brother in law William Reagle

Although Cheryl deserves a beautiful tribute, due to COVID-19, private family services will be held at this time with Pastor Richard Haemer of Saegertown Community Church officiating. Please be present in prayer. The service will be streamed on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at 3:00 PM through Facebook Live.

A time of visitation and celebrating the life of Cheryl will be held from 7-9 PM on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE.

Cheryl will be laid to rest in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Memorial Contributions may be made in Cheryl's memory to American Cancer Society Relay for Life-Team M & M Walkers, 2115 W. 38th St., Erie, PA 16508.
