Daniel Leroy Schell, IV, 28, of Greensboro, NC, formally of Meadville, PA, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2015 in Greensboro, NC.

Daniel was born in Fort Bragg, NC on September 11, 1987, a son of Pamela Mitchell and the late Daniel L. Schell, III.

Daniel had worked in both landscaping and construction. He attended schools in Linesville and Meadville where he enjoyed being on the Bulldog Wresting Team. His favorite pastimes included woodworking, playing video games, cards, and hanging out with his friends and family, especially his sisters. Daniel also loved walking or riding four-wheelers in his grandparents’ woods and playing board games with his cousins.

Daniel was incredibly smart, outgoing, tenderhearted, and a loyal friend. He was charming with beautiful blue eyes. Daniel was always willing to help a person in need. He was extremely protective of his friends and sisters. He made everybody feel special. His constant smile and contagious laugh will be forever missed.

Daniel is survived by his mother and step father Pamela and David Severo of Meadville, a sister Jessica Schell and her companion Josh Penn and his daughter Kaitlyn Walters of Greensboro, NC, two half-sisters Abby Severo of Meadville, Cassie Schell of TX, his step mother Teresa Schell of TX, two step brothers Jeremiah Rideout and Josh Rideout, both of TX, maternal grandparents Richard and Marlene Bridge of Linesville, paternal grandparents, Dan and Lois Schell, Jr. of Saegertown, maternal great grandparents David and Rose Mitchell, Sr. of FL, maternal step grandparents Jeanne Albaugh and her husband Larry, Lou Severo and his wife Marsha both of Meadville, uncles Jamie Billig of MD, Rick Bridge of Linesville, Donald Schell of Philadelphia, an aunt Kimberly Eccles and her husband Duane of NC, step uncles Johnny Severo and his companion Lorna, Danny Severo and his wife Lisa both of Meadville, a step aunt Marjorie Stewart and her husband Jeremy of Meadville, his godmother Kim King of FL,  numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and his beloved pet cat, Liberty.

In addition to his father, Daniel L. Schell, III, Daniel was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather David L. Mitchell, Jr., maternal great grandmothers Katie "Grammy" McGavisk, Florence Mitchell, maternal great grandfather Mendel McGavisk, paternal great grandparents Dan and Goldie Schell, Sr., John and Alice Burnell, maternal step grandmother Diane Mitchell, two aunts Lori Schell, Terri Fox and step uncle Louis Severo.

Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, January 2, 2016 from 10-1 at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville, where Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Temple Jarrell of New Beginnings Church of God officiating..

Daniel will be laid to rest in Venango Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to a No Kill Animal shelter of the donor’s choice or American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, 120 Wall St.-29th Floor, New York, NY  10005.
