Jennie J. Costa

Jennie J. Costa, 82, of 31 N. Park Ave., Meadville, formerly of 1124 Water St., Meadville, passed away Tuesday, May 1st, 2012 at Meadville Medical Center.
Jennie was born in Meadville on June 12, 1929, a daughter of the late Gateno 'Guy' and Elizabeth (Marcello) Costa.
In her earlier years Jennie had been employed by the former Montgomery Ward Department Store and the former Murphy Company, both of Meadville. She was a 1949 graduate of Meadville High School, a member of St. Mary of Grace Roman Catholic Church and its Altar Rosary Society.
Jennie is survived by a sister Rose Page of Meadville, a brother Tom Costa and his wife Kathy of Lebanon, OH, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents Gateno 'Guy' and Elizabeth Costa, Jennie was preceded in death by two sisters Mary Ann 'Annie' Marendo, Josephine Costa and three brother Andrew 'Andy' P. Costa, Frank Costa and Ralph Costa.
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, May 4, 2012 from 4-8 at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville, where a scripture service will be conducted at 7:00 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 5, 2012, at St. Mary of Grace Roman Catholic Church, 1085 Water St., Meadville, with Fr. Marc Solomon, Pastor, officiating.
Interment will take place in St. Brigid Cemetery, West Mead Twp.
