Joseph "Joe" L. Deloss

Joseph "Joe" L. DeLoss, 89, of Meadville, passed away Monday, June 28, 2021, at Meadville Medical Center.

Joe was born in Meadville, on January 18, 1932, a son of the late John Onorio and Madeline Grace (Cumero) DeLoss, Sr.

On July 27, 1957 Joe married Linda McDuff; she preceded him in death on May 10, 2001. On December 18, 2002, Joseph married Rose Badagliacca; she survives.

He was a member of St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church Meadville, where he served as an usher.

Joe was a Graduate of Meadville High School and served his country as a veteran of the US Army from December 9, 1952 until December 8, 1954. Following his honorable discharge he attended Edinboro College and graduate from college in Chicago majoring in Electronics. As a teenager Joe founded DeLoss Repair Service which he operated for several decades. He was co-owner of Tamarack Packing and was a Genie Garage Door representative for 59 years. A member of the Board of Directors of Wesbury where he served on the Finance Committee, Joe was also a member of Meadville Kiwanis. He enjoyed playing golf in the league that he started at Hailwood Golf Course which is still active. He loved traveling to Ormond Beach, FL, to enjoy the winter months with his wife Rose and family.

In addition to his wife, Rose, of 18 years, Joe is survived by a sister Concetta "Connie" Porter (William) of Austin, TX, and their family; a brother John Onorio DeLoss, Jr. (Marsha Anne) of Naples, CA and their family; two stepsons Benjamin Badagliacca (Jennifer) of Buffalo, NY and their family; Daniel Badagliacca of Silver Springs, MD and his daughters; nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents and his first wife, Linda, Joe was preceded in death by a nephew Douglas DeLoss.

Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, July 1, 2021 from 11:00 AM-12:45 PM at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT STREET, MEADVILLE. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:00 PM at The Epiphany Of The Lord Parish, St. Agatha Church, 353 Pine Street Meadville, with Fr. Jeffrey Lucas, Pastor, officiating.

Joe will be entombed with his wife Linda in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with full military honors by VFW Post #2006.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Yolanda G. Barco Oncology Institute, 16792 Conneaut Lake Road, Meadville, PA 16335 or a charity of donors choice.
