Kathleen "Kay" L. Snow

Kathleen "Katy" L. Snow, 94, of Saegertown, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Titusville Healthcare & Rehabilitation.

Katy was born in Logan Hospital, Cambridge Springs, on December 26, 1928, a daughter of the late Philo Leonard and Minnie Irene (Leary) Fosburg.

On October 22, 1949, Katy married Clayton Snow; he preceded her in death on February 28, 2008.

She was a longtime and active member of Gravel Run Presbyterian Church.

Katy was a graduate of Cambridge Springs Academy and was involved with anything musical. An alto saxophone player, she was a member of the school's marching, concert and pep bands. She continued to play her entire life, much of the time with her husband, Clayton. In addition to their own four group band, they were also members of the Cambridge Springs Community Orchestra, Shades Of Time, and Methel Regales Polka Band. She also lent her talents by playing in the pit orchestra for Community Theaters in the Crawford County area. For 26 years Katy was employed by the former Carnation Company, Cambridge Springs, doing payroll for farmers. Not one to remain idle, Katy started a 40 year career working at the Meadville Area Recreation Complex. She loved the Rec., especially working on the ice ring side. After her family, the Rec. was her second love and she cherished all of the friendships she made over the years, working there three nights a week into her 90's. She was a member of the Eastern Star and loved volunteering at the Crawford County Fair, especially in the Home Show Building for Afghans. Katy had a passion for life, she rode her motorcycle from age 16 until her early 90's, went sky diving in her mid 50's and played her saxophone for church services until recently. She will be remembered as a hard worker who enjoyed keeping busy, had the ability to make friends, and had a deep love for her family. Her memory will be cherished and continue to live on.

Katy is survived by three children Dale G. Snow (Jan), Keith Snow (Beckie), Kay Snow all of Cambridge Springs; seven grandchildren Shannon Head (JD), Matt Snow (Nikki), Doug Snow (Melissa), Joshua Snow (Brie), Kyle Snow (Alex), Blake Docter (Amanda), Calvin Docter (fiance' Kenzie), 12 great grandchildren, Kara Snow, Jake Clayton, Kaylie, and Kourtney Head, Grace, Benjamin, and Allie Snow, Emma and Ava Snow, Lucy and Nolan Snow, Rowen Docter; nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband of 58 years, Katy was preceded in death by her bother Waid Fosburg.

Family and friends are invited to call from 4-7 PM on Monday, September 25, 2023, at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 330 BROAD STREET, SAEGERTOWN, where an Eastern Star Service will be held at 6:45. Visitation will also be held from 10-11 AM on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at Gravel Run Presbyterian Church, Woodcock Twp., where Funeral Services will follow at 11 AM with J.D. Head, grandson in law, officiating.

Katy will be laid to rest with her husband, Clayton, in Gravel Run Cemetery.
