Marie A. Perricone

Marie A. Perricone, 73, of 19967 Gill Street Meadville, passed away Thursday, October 15th, at Rolling Fields Eldercare Community, Conneautville.

Marie was born in Meadville, on August 4, 1942, a daughter of the late Vito and Angeline "Jean" M. (Trucco) Perricone, Jr.

She was a member of St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church, Meadville.

Marie retired on Dec. 31, 2007 as corporate secretary and director from Allegheny Casualty Co. where she had been employed for 47 years. Following her graduation from Meadville High School, she joined the company as an office secretary in 1960. Over her career she saw the company grow from being licensed in 12 states to the point where it was licensed in 43 states. She rose up through the ranks and was elected assistant secretary of the company on Dec. 13, 1972 and on Dec. 2, 1981 was elected corporate secretary and director, holding those positions until her retirement.

She was a member of the Iroquois Boating and Fishing Club and the Italian Civic Club (ICC) Auxiliary.

Marie is survived by her sister Josephine "Babe" Adair and her husband James of Meadville, her extended family Don Adair and his wife Carmi of Columbus, OH, Ron Adair and his wife Pati of IL, Tony Adair and his wife Julie of Meadville, Jim Adair, Jr. and his wife Michele of Charlotte, NC, James J. Duratz, Harriet Trucco, George and Susan Trucco and their sons Anthony Trucco and George J. Trucco, Emmaline D. Trucco, , Tina Marie Trucco deRodriguez and her husband Edgar Sierra, Guido Trucco all of Meadville, Bonnie Trucco and her daughter Alecia of Moon Twp.

In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by Emmaline DeLorenzo Barco, George J. Barco, Anthony J. Trucco, Yolanda Barco, Helene Barco Duratz, John Trucco and Sebastian Trucco

Private calling hours will be held at the convenience of the family, at the Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut Street, Meadville, PA 16335.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at at St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church, 353 Pine St., Meadville, at 1:00 PM on Monday, October 19th, with Fr. Matthew Kujawinski, pastor officiating.

Marie will be laid to rest in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Vernon Twp.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rolling Fields Eldercare Community, 9108 State Hwy. 198 Conneautville, PA 16406 or Hospice of Crawford County, 464 Pine St. Meadville, PA 16335. Josephine would like to thank the staff of Rolling Fields Eldercare for there professional and loving care, support and friendship that was provided to Marie. You are very special people.
