Marlene M. Eicher, 84, of Saegertown, formerly of Connellsville, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2021, at Crawford County Care Center.

Marlene was born in Connellsville, on July 27, 1936, the oldest of five children, and only daughter, of the late John and Violet (Smidtke) Kerns.

On May 10, 1958 Marlene married Jack Lomison Eicher; he preceded her in death on June 18, 2016.

In 1991 Marlene retired as a Bookkeeper from Mike Skalecki and Sons in Connellsville. A graduate of Dunbar Township High School, she also attended classes at Penn State, Fayette. While living in Connellsville, she was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, The Garden Club, The Hospital Club and Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed flower gardening, making crafts, playing Bridge with her friends, traveling, playing Uno with her family and she had a knack for interior design. Marlene also possessed a love of music as well as theater.

Marlene is survived by a daughter Jill Manning (Paul) of Meadville, two grandchildren Mitchell Parker (Abbey), Jillian Parker; one great grandson Cole Parker; three brothers Ronald Kerns, Sr. (Carolyn), Gerald Kerns (Linda), Barry Kerns (Rosella) all of Connellsville; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Jack, of 58 years, Marlene was preceded in death by a brother William Kerns.

Due to Covid, services will be held at a later date.

Marlene will be laid to rest next to her husband, Jack, in Green Ridge Memorial Cemetery, Connellsville.
