Aaron James Lewandowski, 43, of 258 Allegheny St., Meadville, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at home.
Aaron was born in Meadville, on January 7, 1973, a son of Rodney and Marsha (Gunnarson) Lewandowski.
On August 16, 1997, Aaron married Lynn Ann Gilliland; she survives.
Aaron was a 1991 graduate of Meadville Area Senior High School where he was a member of the swim team and had qualified for states. He went on to continue his education at Westminster College where he swam for the Titans. He later earned an Associate's Degree in Manufacturing Engineer Tech. from Edinboro University. Over the years Aaron worked for C & J Industries, at Lewandowski Builders with his Uncle Mike, Keystones Kitchens, Red Lobster, Joy Manufacturing of Franklin and Franklin Overhead Door. He had been actively involved with AA, NA and the Oxford House helping many individuals who battled alcohol and drug addictions getting reacquainted back into society. He found his involvement to be therapeutic and rewarding. Aaron had a true passion for fireworks but none of this compared to the love, dedication and fulfillment he had from being a dad. His greatest passion was his children. The time spent with them included coaching youth soccer for many years, numerous hours spent playing at the stream, building sand sculptures at the beach, riding 4-wheeler's, and was known in the neighborhood for his two-story snow forts. He will be sadly missed by those who loved and cared for him.
In addition to his wife Lynn Ann of 18 years, Aaron is survived by four children Sydney, twins Camaron and Olivia, and Gunnar Lewandowski, all at home; his father Rodney Lewandowski of Greenville; his mother Marsha Lewandowski of the Villages, FL; a brother Todd Lewandowski and his wife Susanne of Pittsburgh; two cousins who were like brothers to him, Matt and Jeff Lewandowski; his Uncle Mike, a close friend, Seth Wise, his brothers and sisters in recovery, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
