Agnes M. Ilisevich

Agnes M. Ilisevich, 90, of Gibsonia, passed away Monday, June 29, 2020, at home.

Agnes was born in Scottdale, on August 23, 1929, a daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Hirka) Zerilla.

On June 6, 1959 Agnes married Robert D. Ilisevich; he survives.

While living in Meadville, she was an active member of St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society.

After many years of service Agnes retired from Meadville Medical Center where she was employed as a Registered Nurse. A graduate of Scottdale High School, Agnes was also a graduate of UPMC Mercy School of Nursing. In her younger years she served as a Brownie and Cub Scout Leader. In the years following her retirement, she and her husband enjoyed many years of traveling together. Throughout her life she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her hobbies included bowling, knitting, participating in card clubs as well as Silver Sneakers. Her family and faith were very important to her. Agnes will be sadly missed.

In addition to her husband, Robert, of 61 years, Agnes is survived by two children Daniel R. Ilisevich (Kathleen Merlo) of Potomac, MD, Deborah Ilisevich Feigenbaum (Lionel) of Bethesda, MD; five grandchildren; a sister Betty Wolfe of Export, a brother Bill Zerilla (Sandy) of Scottdale, seven nieces and six nephews.

In addition to her parents, Agnes was preceded in death by two brothers Michael Zerilla, Mytro Zerilla, and a sister Anna Mae Finnerty.

While following CDC guidelines for social distancing and mask wearing, visitation will be held from 1:30-2:30 PM on Friday, July 3, 2020 at St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church in Meadville, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:30 PM with Fr. Jeffrey Lucas, Pastor, officiating. The Mass will be livestreamed via our Facebook page (Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc.) For those not able to attend we ask that you be present in prayer.

Agnes will be laid to rest in St. Agatha Cemetery, Meadville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Assoc., PO Box 15120, Chicago, IL 60693 or St. Agatha Church, 353 Pine St., Meadville, PA 16335.
