Albert James Hamilton, 84, of Hunter Road Meadville, passed away Wednesday, November 23rd, at Wesbury United Methodist Community.
Albert was born in East Mead Township, on April 26, 1927, a son of the late Francis and Luella Yoset Hamilton.
On May 10, 1947, Albert married Blanche L. Kimmel; she survives
He was a member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church.
Albert retired from the Meadville Division of AMCAST in 1989. A veteran of the US Navy, he served his country honorably during W.W.II. He was an active member of East Mead Volunteer Fire Dept. and a lifetime member of VFW Post #2006. Albert was a former member of Meadville Eagle #429.
In addition to his wife Blanche of 64 years Albert is survived by four children, Robert J. Hamilton and his wife Irene of Beaver, Gary F. Hamilton and his wife Linda of Meadville, Joyce A. McCormick and her husband Michael of Glen Bernie, MD, Cynthia S. Hamilton and her companion David Mailliard of Meadville, seven grandchildren Sonia Linderman and her husband Karl, Marcie Pifer, Vanessa Kalcevic and her husband Matthew, Matthew Hamilton and his wife Katelyn, Caitlin McCormick and her fianc Matthew Swertfager, Marc McCormick, Emily McCormick , 9 great grandchildren, a sister Joan Kiser, two brothers Dale Hamilton and his wife Lucille and Martin Hamilton all of Meadville, many nieces and nephews.
Albert was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Eunice Watson and Jane Prenatt, five brothers Ardrey, Paul, Jess, Walter and Waid Hamilton.
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday from 5-8 at the Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. 404 Chestnut Street, Meadville and are invited to call on Saturday from 12 - 1 where services will take place at 1:00 PM with Pastor Alice McClymonds, pastor of Pine Grove United Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment will take place in Kiser Hill Cemetery, East Mead Twp. with full military honors provded by VFW Post #2006 of Meadville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pine Grove United Methodist Church 9488 S. Wayland Road Meadville, PA 16335 or East Mead Volunteer Fire Dept. State Hwy. 27, Meadville, PA 16335.
