Alexine G. Evans

Alexine G. Evans, 58, of 1209 Market Street, Meadville, passed away Friday, December 10, 2010 at Hamot Medical Center, Erie.
Alexine was born in Grind Stone on August 17, 1952, a daughter of the late James and Ossilee (Blackmon) Crawford.
On August 20, 1986 Alexine married Charles Leonard Evans; he survives.
She was a member of Beacon Liberty Street Temple Church of God in Christ, Meadville.
Alexine had formerly worked at the Department of Public Assistance Office, Meadville. She was a graduate of Allison High School. Her hobbies included fishing, playing scrabble..., etc.
In addition to her husband Charles of 24 years, Alexine is survived by three children Tyrone Brown, Colleen Brown Winkler and her husband Don, Jamie C. Kiser all of Meadville, 13 grandchildren two sisters Eleanor Williamson and her husband Joseph of Warren, OH, Carmaine Rice of Meadville, a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Alexine was preceded in death by five sisters Rae Lou Robertson, Marilyn Miller, Mary Floyd, Emma Carpenter, Jimmie Lou Blakely, two brothers James Crawford, Jr., Eddie Crawford and two nephews.
Family and friends are invited to call on from Tuesday 7-9 and on Wednesday from 11-1 at Beacon Liberty Street Temple Church of God in Christ, 11291 Liberty St. Ext., Meadville, where a Homecoming Service will be held at 1:00 PM with Rev. Tyrone T. Steals, Pastor, officiating.
Interment will take place in Greendale Cemetery, West Mead Twp.
