Alton "Tim" Timothy Walker

Alton "Tim" Timothy Walker, 63, of Meadville, passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at Meadville Medical Center-Grove Street. 

Tim was born at the the former City Hospital in Meadville, on February 27, 1961, a son of the late Robert Walker and Violet (Beerbower) Walker Knapp.

Tim attended Meadville schools before joining the Army National Guard where he served for six years. From 1985-1988 Tim enjoyed living in Texas where he did landscaping. Upon his return to Meadville, he became employed by Salt Painting where he worked until 2023 when his health declined. He was a die hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Tim was an independent person who will be remembered for his strong will and his very generous nature. He will be sadly missed. 

Tim is survived by his sister Virginia Kralj (David) of Meadville; brothers Donald Walker of Espyville, Phillip Walker of Meadville; nieces and nephews David Kralj, Jr. (Margo), Jessica Burr (Shawn), Deanna Walker, Brian Walker (Nicole), Tanya Walker, Richard Loper; seven great nieces; six great nephews; and two great great nieces.

In addition to his parents, Tim was preceded in death by a brother Robert "Gene" Walker; a sister Barbara Walker; and a sister in law Diane Lynne Walker.

Family and friends are invited to call from 5-7 PM on Friday January 10, 2025, at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, where Funeral Services will follow at 7 PM with Pastor Jeff Conley officiating.

Tim will be laid to rest in Union Cemetery Guys, Mills. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Tim's memory to Yolanda G. Barco Oncology Institute, 16792 Conneaut Lake Road, Meadville, PA 16335.
