Andrew was born in Tarentum, on November 17, 1952, a son of the late William A. and Mary (Russ) Massey, Jr., and was a graduate of Vandergrift High Schoool.
Along with his parents, Andrew was an active member of St. John Missionary Full Gospel Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon, sang in the church choir, worked in Prison Ministry and as an Evangelist.
Andrew began a 40 year welding career in Seattle, WA, before working for the former Trinity Industries in Greenville, PA. He went on to own and operate his own barbecue business, Branded Barbecue, for 17 years. Andrew also taught welding at Fortis Institute in Erie formerly known as Tri-State Business Institute.
Andrew is survived by his former wife Brenda Massey; daughters Andrea Marie Massey, Marian Luanna Howard, Taylor Karlise Robinson; five grandchildren; a sister Rose Marie Thomas; nieces and nephews.
Andrew was preceded in death by siblings Shirley Massey and Wesley Massey, Sr.
Visitation is from 11-1 on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at St. John Missionary Full Gospel Baptist Church, 792 N. Main St., Meadville, where A Home Going Service will follow at 1 PM with Pastor Cameron T. Bowman officiating.
Andrew will be laid to rest in Greendale Cemetery.
