Angeline M. Sciere

Angeline M. Sciere, 83, of 503 Deissler Court, Meadville, passed away Friday, June 6, 2014 at Wesbury United Methodist Community.

Angeline was born in Meadville, on January 6, 1931, a daughter of the late Saverio and Vincena (Piazza) Sciere.

She was a member of St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church and a former member of the Altar Rosary Society.

In 1995 Angeline retired after 45 years of service working as a legal secretary to Attorney John Bosic, Jr. She had also worked for attorneys R. Charles Thomas, Bruce Johnson, Emil Spadafore and David Truax. Additionally from 1960-1979 she worked with the Crawford County Legal Journal where she was responsible for publishing legal notices and advertisements. A graduate of the former St. Agatha Catholic School, Angeline was also a 1948 graduate of Meadville High School. Following her high school graduation, she became employed in the Register and Recorders Office of the Crawford County Court House for two and a half years. Angeline was a former member of the Legal Secretary Association. Her hobbies included bowling and golfing.

Angeline is survived by a brother Anthony J. Sciere and his wife Joyce of Glenshaw, cousins George Piazza and his wife Alda, Roseann Piccolo, Kay Modras, Philip and Dorothy Dechicco, Bobby Dechicco, Joseph and Mary Piazza, Leon Piazza, two nieces, two nephews including her God Son John A. Sciere, six great nieces and nephews, six great great nieces and nephews plus many good friends

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Family and friends are invited to call from 11:00-12:30 on Wednesday, June 6, 2014, at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 PM, at St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church, 353 Pine St., Meadville, with Fr. Matthew Kujawinski, Pastor, officiating.

Angeline will be laid to rest in St. Brigid Cemetery, West Mead Twp.
