Anne R. Mckinney

With the comfort of family by her side, Anne R. McKinney, 77, of Meadville, passed away unexpectedly on January 19, 2024 at UPMC Hamot in Erie, PA.

She was born in Meadville, PA on September 22, 1946, a daughter of Anne and Paul A. Donato, both of whom preceded her in death.

Anne is survived by her daughter Monica (McKinney) Riordan and her husband Shawn of Saegertown, a brother Paul Donato and his wife Maryanne of Summerfield, NC, six grandchildren (Skyler, 21; Connor, 20; Morgan, 16; Izabella, 14; and twins Lillyahna & Lucyahna, 10), a great granddaughter (Hailee, 2), nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

For primary education, Anne attended Second District School and  later graduated from Meadville Area Senior High School. For many years, she worked as the insurance coordinator for Dr. David J. Rusilko, DC. She was a long time member of Saint Mary of Grace Roman Catholic Church.

Anne had a passion for a variety of hobbies that brought her much joy throughout her life, including reading, bingo, jigsaw puzzles, playing cards, and listening to music. She also enjoyed diamond painting and other crafts, and was exceptionally proud when

she her submissions won her two First Place blue ribbons at the Crawford County Fair.

There is no doubt that anyone who ever had the opportunity to know Anne, will never forget her. She had a warm, radiant personality and contagious smile that lit up every room she was in. Even when her life changed dramatically due to a stroke that left her partially paralyzed and bound to a wheelchair, she always stayed positive and found endless reasons to laugh. She loved meeting new people and she very much looked forward to visits, calls, and mail from family and friends so that new memories could be made — Especially when it involved her grandchildren. She had an ongoing friendship with residents at the nursing home, as well as the staff that cared for her. Anne also cherished the friendships and time spent with her sorority sisters at Beta Sigma Phi International Sorority, especially for the annual Christmas party.

There will be no public funeral services at this time.

A date for a memorial service to honor and celebrate Anne‘s life will be announced at a later date.

May Anne McKinney’s soul rest in eternal peace with our Lord and Savior.
