Anthony "Tony" Sullian

Anthony "Tony" Sullivan, 76, of 111 S. Church Street, Box 283, Linesville, passed away on March 28, 2017 at Leesburg Regional Medical Center in Leesburg, FL of complications following open heart surgery.

Tony was born in London, England on November 5, 1940, a son of the late Alfred John Sullivan and the late Violet Maud (Powell) Sullivan.

On November 24, 2000 Tony married Bonita "Bonnie" A. Mosbacher; she survives.

Tony grew up in London, England where he attended Alleyns School. There he excelled in academics as well as many sports including track, soccer, boxing and Rugby fives. In 1957 he began his working career at the Westminster Bank of England and in 1964 became an independent computer consultant and enhanced his career by designing and implementing main-frame computer systems. Tony moved with his family to Bermuda in 1977 and for the next 22 years he worked in the reinsurance business. He retired in 1999 with more than 40 years in the computer industry. Most recently he had been employed as vice president for the Mid-Ocean Re-Insurance Company in Bermuda where he was responsible for running their Information Technology Department. During his career, Tony spent much of his time traveling internationally and when not working, spent all of his time with his two beautiful daughters.

After he retired, Tony visited his long time friend Bob in Pittsburgh and there met his soul mate Bonnie. They were married 6 months later and enjoyed 16 years of extreme happiness till his untimely death. Tony was a social member of Conneaut Lake Fire Hall, Vernon Central Fire Hall and the Pymatuning Sportsman Club in Linesville.  He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed watching any and all sports.   Tony was a quiet, pensive man and was extremely intelligent. Throughout the day, he read several on-line newspapers and enjoyed discussing world affairs with his family and friends. He was proud of his pristine pool and would most often be found sitting on the deck enjoying a good book or talking with his wife. He loved hosting holiday and summer parties for family and friends and found a new sport in capturing skunks with his good friend Tim.

Bonnie and Tony traveled to England and Bermuda several times during their marriage and also to Arizona and Las Vegas. For the past 6 years, they spent the winters in Florida where they enjoyed dancing in the square, taking long morning walks, dining and partying with his brother –in-law and his wife, entertaining company and sharing a good laugh at Bonnie’s expense. Tony lived life with integrity, compassion, devotion and unconditional love for his wife and family.
Tony was so very proud of his daughter, his grandchildren and his wife. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, granddad and grandpa and will be truly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
