Audrey L. Manning

Audrey L. Manning, 81, of 168 Glenwood Ave., Meadville, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2012 at 159 Glenwood Ave., Meadville, at the home of her daughter.
Audrey was born in Uniontown on January 13, 1931, a daughter of the late Otto and Susie (Wright) Clark.
On November 12, 1947 Audrey married James R. Manning; he survives.
She was a very active and devoted member of Boynton Street Church of God where she sang in the choir and was a member of the Stewardship Board.
A dedicated homemaker, Audrey also provided domestic services to many area businesses and families including WMGW radio station, the former Darling Dress Shop, an Allegheny College Fraternity House, the Nunn and Bates families. She attended schools in Uniontown. Audrey was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Abigail Chapter. She loved decorating, craft-making, singing and reading, especially the Bible.
In addition to her husband, James, of 64 years, Audrey is survived by nine children Rev. James A. Manning and his wife Geraldine of Roberta, GA, Donna Moody and her husband Mack of Meadville, Rev. Gary Manning and his wife Katherine of Buffalo, NY, Angie Gray and her husband Cliff, Arnold 'Arnie' Manning and his wife Tammy, Janet Jack and her husband Paul, all of Meadville, Jeffrey Manning of Blairsville, Marsha Schmidt and her husband Clark of Sharon, Miles Manning and his wife Terry of Meadville, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, a sister Virginia Walker and her husband James of Washington, DC, a brother Otto Clark and his wife Mary of Uniontown, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Audrey was preceded in death by two daughters Carlotta Faye Manning, Sueannette Range, a stillborn son, two sisters Alice Brown, Harriet Twitty and a brother Eugene Clark.
Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 from 10-1 at New Beginnings Church of God, 13226 Leslie Road, Meadville, where a Homecoming Service will be held at 1 PM with Rev. John Foster officiating.
Interment will take place in Greendale Cemetery, West Mead Twp.
