Betty M. Saputo

Betty M. Saputo, 99, of Meadville, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2024.

Betty was born in Meadville, on January 15, 1925, a daughter of the late John and Virginia (Passilla) Limano.

On June 24, 1944 Betty married Carl Saputo; he predeceased her on March 11, 2012. 

She was a member of St. Brigid Church. 

In 1993 Betty retired after 22 years of service from Alltel Phone Company where she worked in Dispatch and Repair. A 1943 graduate of Meadville High School, she had attended First District School. Her hobbies including working puzzles and playing Bingo. 

Betty is survived by two grandsons Donald and Mark Martin, several nieces and nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by a son, Donald Saputo; sisters Grace Higby, Ethel Basil; brothers Joseph, Pete, and Mike Limano.

A Memorial Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at 11:00 at St. Brigid Church, 383 Arch St., Meadville, with Fr. Jeff Lucas officiating. 

Betty will be laid to rest in St. Brigid Cemetery.
