Bob Boyd, 58, of 432 1/2 Fairmont Ave., Meadville, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2014, at Meadville Medical Center.

Bob was born in Coldwater, MS on September 20, 1955, a son of the late George and Luella (Ramsey) Boyd, Sr.

He was a member of United Faith Fellowship Church, Meadville.

For many years Bob was a cement and concrete worker, much of the time working alongside his brothers. He attended schools in Coldwater, MS and Meadville. Bobs passion for life came out in simple pleasures. Among them were his work, his love for sports, especially for Oklahoma City Thunders basketball, his daily coffee, playing poker on the weekends with friends and most of all spending time with his children. He also enjoyed fishing and taking walks. He will be sadly missed.

Bob is survived by eight children Letitia Butler, Shaneka Butler both of Meadville, Dominque Stinson of NC, Abagail Miller of Meadville, Zelika Hartle of Franklin, Jovon Johnson of Meadville, LaBree Kellogg of Moscow, Destiny Carter, Tanae Moody both of Meadville, 15 grandchildren, his love and best friend of 7 1/2 years Ragen Moody of Meadville, a sister Bobbie Hillard of Erie, six brothers Eddie B. Mitchell and his wife Erma of Coldwater, MS, Booker T. Pope of Columbus, OH, Truman Boyd and his wife Mattie of Meadville, Albert C. Boyd of Erie, J. B. Boyd of Meadville, Elijah Boyd and his wife Theresa of Erie, personal extended family member Sandra Jean Butler of Cochranton, stepchildren Deandre and Terrance of Franklin, a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by four siblings Hubert Pope, J.Q. Pope, Mae Katherine Leverson and George Boyd, Jr.

Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, May 24, 2014, from 10-11:30 AM at United Faith Fellowship Church, 561 State St., Meadville, where a Homecoming Service will be held at 11:30 AM with Rev. Berta Newsome Jones, Pastor, officiating.

Bob will be laid to rest in Greendale Cemetery, West Mead Twp.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bobs memory to Mizner Funeral Home, 404 Chestnut St., Meadville, PA 16335.

Arrangements are under the direction of Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville.
