Bonita "Bonnie" C. (Gawlinski) Callen, 78, of Newton Falls, OH, passed away Friday, October 29, 2021 at Country Club Rehab Center, Newton Falls, OH.
Bonnie was born in Athens Township, on July 18, 1943, a daughter of the late Sigmund and Elizabeth (Phelps) Gawlinski.
On October 17, 1959 Bonnie married James Callen, Sr.; he predeceased her on July 15, 2006.
She had been a member of St. Brigid Church, Meadville.
Over the years, Bonnie was employed by various businesses. She had also worked at Edinboro University and had owned and operated her own pizza shop in Waterford.
Bonnie is survived by two daughters Jeannette Callen of Garrettsville, OH, Betty Jo Callen and her partner Joyce Campbell of Chaardon, OH, six, grandchildren, six great grandchildren, two brothers Eugene Gawlinski and his wife Honey of Cambridge Springs, Mike Gawlinski (Gloria) of Lubbock, TX, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, James, of 46 years, Bonnie was preceded in death by her son, James and a brother Stanley.
Family and friends are invited to call from 2-3 PM on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, where Funeral Services will follow at 3 PM, with Howard Roxberry officiating.
Bonnie will be laid to rest with her husband, James, in Rootville Cemetery.
