Carol Ann Bonnell

Carol Ann Bonnell, 72 of Guys Mills, passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at Meadville Medical Center.

Carol was born in Meadville on August 13, 1949, a daughter of the late John and Dorothy (Cowden) Gourley.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Meadville.

Carol was a 1968 graduate of Cambridge Springs High School. She had been employed at several restaurants and also as a housekeeping specialist. She enjoyed shooting, hunting, and making crafts. Her greatest joy in life was time spent with her grandchildren, whom she referred to as her babies. She loved them dearly and they returned that love. She will be missed.

Carol is survived by her loving companion of 26 years, Robert Bowersox of Guys Mills; her oldest child Marylee Fornal (partner Michael Bowersox) of Guys Mills and her four children Aaron Smith (Emma), Travis Smith (Vashay), Johnathan Smith (Aleishia), their children Claire and Zelda, and Sophia Fornal; her second born Roy Lee Blystone, Jr. (Jessica) of Venango and their children Justin Peterson, Joshua Blystone, Miranda Blystone; her youngest child Jamey Lee Weidner (Bess) of Wooster, OH, and their son Wess. She is further survived by additional grandchildren Michaela May Bowersox, Madie Sue Bowersox, Kolton Blanchard, Michal Bowersox, Isabale Bowersox, Abigal Bowersox, Shannel Bowersox, Zachary Bowersox; siblings Mary Lee Weidner (Peter) who adopted and raised Jamie Lee, Gary Gourley (Karen), Susan Thayer, all of Cambridge Springs; nieces and nephews Raymond Gourley, John Gourley, and Melissa DeMetro (Charlie).

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by a nephew, Robert Thayer.

No public services will be held.

Memorial contributions may be made in Carol's memory to a charity of the donor's choice.
