Carol Anne Tharp

Carol Anne Tharp, 86, passed away Tuesday, August 27th, at Embassy of Park Ave., Meadville. 

Carol was born on July 13, 1938, a daughter of the late Harvey and Caroline (Mance) Tharp.

Carol graduated from Norwin High School, Irwin,PA She retired from DIC Tools, Meadville, where she was a machine operator. A hard worker, she also cleaned offices in the evening. Her greatest joy came from her grandchildren, she loved attending all of there activities and watching them grow over the years. Carol will be missed by all that knew her. 

Carol is survived by her two daughter; Patricia Holcomb of Conneaut Lake, Leslie McGowan (Thomas) of Meadville, eight grandchildren; Michael McGowen (Jessica), Jonathan McGowan (Sara), Jeffrey McGowan, Carmen Guthrie, Joel Guthrie, Mark Holcomb (Jeanine), Carly Holcomb, Daniel Holcomb and 11 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her children Lorrie Guthrie, Neil Guthrie, siblings James and Robert Tharp.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
