Carter Shayne Mondi

Carter Shayne Mondi, 28, of Saegertown, passed away at work suddenly on Thursday morning, April 11, 2024, just hours before his sister, Sadie.

Carter was born in Meadville, on December 4, 1995, a son of John and Janelle (Gray) Mondi.

He was affiliated with Pleasantview Alliance Church.

For over six years Carter was employed by Prism Plastics, Inc. of Meadville, where he worked as a supervisor in the Mold Setting Department. A 2014 graduate of Saegertown High School, Carter was a member of the Panthers Football Team and enjoyed playing Saegertown Baseball while growing up. He enjoyed being outdoors and fishing, especially for walleye and trout. He was intelligent and a great writer. His greatest passion was pheasant hunting with his family and his Mom’s beloved German Shorthaired Pointer, Belle. Carter will be remembered for his meticulous nature, quiet demeanor, and down to earth personality.

Carter is survived by his parents Janelle Mondi and John Mondi of Saegertown; siblings Camryn Mondi (fiance' Colton Tallman) of Conneaut Lake, Karlyn Mondi (Austin Kiser), Maddie Mondi both of Saegertown, Tyler Mondi (Michelle) of Espyville, Matthew Mondi of Saegertown; maternal grandmother Mary Alice Gray of Saegertown; four nieces; three nephews; and his forever special friend Belle.

Family and friends are invited to call from 3-7 PM on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at Pleasantview Alliance Church, 16233 Hwy. 86, Saegertown, where Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 18, 2024, with Rev. Mike McAdams, Pastor, officiating.

Carter will be laid to rest in Greendale Cemetery with his sister, Sadie.
