Catherine 'Katie' (Zuccaro) Cappellino

Mrs. Catherine 'Katie' (Zuccaro) Cappellino, 88, of B-8 Concord House, Golfview Manor, Meadville, formerly of 217 Poplar Street, Meadville, passed away Friday, November 5, 2010 at home.
Catherine was born in Meadville on March 3, 1922, the daughter of the late Stefano and Anna (Sugar) Zuccaro.
On June 11, 1949 Catherine married Richard P. Cappellino; he preceded her in death on May 15, 2001.
She was a member of St. Mary of Grace Roman Catholic Church, Meadville.
Catherine loved to collect cookbooks, recipes and she loved to cook and bake. She enjoyed watching sports. Her home was always open to all and she cherished spending time with her family. Catherine will be remembered for the love she gave her family, especially the care she and her husband, Richard, provided in watching their grandchildren.
Catherine is survived by two sons Rick Cappellino and his wife Rose of Austintown, OH, Steve Cappellino and his wife Michelle of Meadville, a daughter Kathleen Jones and her husband Butch of Suwanee, GA, nine grandchildren Rich Cappellino, Kristen Gennaro and her husband Nick, Danielle, Nicole and Tony Cappellino, Meaghan Harris and her husband Brian, Ryan Mullen and his wife Julie, Michael and Kevin Jones, two great grandsons Logan and Austin Harris, a sister Annette Bachiu of Troy, MI, a brother Peter Zuccaro of Meadville, several nieces and nephews.In addition to her husband Richard of 52 years, she was preceded in death by three sisters Rose Campanella, Mary Anzalaco, Frances Wejroch, two brothers Sam and Anthony Zuccaro.
Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, November 7, 2010, from 12-3 and 6-9 at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut Street, Meadville where a scripture service will be conducted at 2:30 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Monday, November 8, 2010, at St. Mary of Grace Roman Catholic Church, 1085 Water St., Meadville, with Fr. Mark Solomon, Pastor, officiating.
Interment will take place at St. Brigid Cemetery, West Mead Twp.
