Charles "Dick" Richard Hoff, 85, of 7912 Franklin Pike, Meadville, passed away Friday, April 14, 2017, at Wesbury United Methodist Community.

Dick was born at home in Cambridge Springs, on April 7, 1932, a son of the late Lawrence D. and Myrina E. (Lowrey) Hoff.

On February 3, 1995 Dick married Judith Ritter; she survives.

On June 12, 1981 Dick established his own vending business, Hoff Vending, and worked diligently until his retirement in 2002. He had previously been employed by the former Spaulding's of Meadville and Frontier Mobile Homes. He attended Meadville High School where he was a member of the Basketball Team. Dick was a member of the Italian Civic Club (ICC) and VFW Post #2006. He enjoyed bowling at Cochranton Lanes and was in a men's league at the former Center Bowling Lanes. A sports enthusiast, Dick especially enjoyed watching basketball, following the Cleveland Indians and Pittsburgh Pirates. Dick was an animal lover and had a special affection for his dogs. He enjoyed working in his yard as well as detailing and taking care of his cars. He will be sadly missed.

In addition to his wife, Judy, of 22 years, Dick is survived by three children Gregg A. Hoff and his wife Cindy of Port Orange, FL, Debbie M. Shields and her husband Randy of Cochranton, Kathy Jo Lewis of Florida, three step children Diane Marie Dionne and her husband Robert, David James Graham and his wife Andrea both of Bristol, CT, Douglas Stephen Graham and his wife Anne of Southington, CT, four grandchildren Charles Richard Hoff II, Joseph Allen Hoff and his wife Nicole, Cameron Richard Shields, Cheyenne Marie Shields, four step grandchildren Megan Graham, Kyle Graham, Kendall Graham, Allison Graham, one great granddaughter Braianna D. Hoff, a sister Diane Moore of Meadville, two nieces Diana Brocklehurst, Renee Blystone and her husband Duane, two nephews Michael Deterick, Derek Deterick and his wife Linda.

In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by a son Larry Edward Hoff.

Private Funeral Services will be held.

Dick will be laid to rest in St. Brigid Cemetery, West Mead Twp.

Memorial contributions may be made to Humane Society of Crawford County, 11012 Kennedy Hill Road, Meadville, PA 16335.
