Charles F. Sackett, Jr.

Charles F. Sackett, Jr., 87, of Meadville, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at Wesbury United Methodist Community.

Charles was born in Meadville on September 11, 1934, a son of the late Charles F. and Alberta (Watson) Sackett, Sr.

On January 16, 1960 he married Margaret Ann Ezor; she preceded him in death on July 19, 2019.

Over the years Charles had worked for the former Loblaws for 13 years and in the Engineering Department of the former Talon, Inc. for 13 years. He was a 1952 graduate of Meadville High School. Charles entered the US Army on March 13, 1957 and served his country honorably until his discharge on March 12, 1959; he was awarded the Good Conduct Medal. For many years Charles enjoyed being a member of the Eat and Travel Club with his wife.

Charles is survived by a daughter Charlene Tinney (Michael) of Laurel, MD; a son Eric Sackett of Gaithersburg, MD; five grandchildren Brad, Daniel, Victoria, Sean and Matthew.

In addition to his parents and wife, Margaret, of 59 years, Charles was preceded in death by two sisters Evelyn Russ and Charlotte Koeppen.

Per Charles' request, there will be no visitation or services.

He will be laid to rest next to his wife, Margaret, in Greendale Cemetery.
