Charles I. McGill, 81, of 15406 State Hwy. 198, Saegertown, passed away Monday, May 3rd, 2010 at Meadville Medical Center.
Charles was born in Meadville on August 26, 1928, a son of the late Walter and Ruby (Cutshall) McGill.
On June 17, 1965, Charles married Virginia M. Zirkle; she survives.
He was of the Methodist Faith.
After 40 years of service, Charles retired from Kebert Construction. For many years, he had also worked part time as a driver for Boyles Bus Lines. In his younger days he was employed by McCrosky Tool. He attended Littles Corners schools. Charlie enjoyed camping, hunting, playing B.I.N.G.O. and riding his motorcycle, but his number one priority in life was his family.
In addition to his wife Virginia of 44 years, Charles is survived by seven children Bonita Allen and her husband George of Conneaut Lake, Donald Henry and his wife Rhonda of Conneautville, Ronald 'Mike' Henry and his wife Valerie of Meadville, Larry Henry and his wife Tammy of Conneautville, Bonnie McGill of Conneaut Lake, Lauri Galentine and her husband David of Stoneboro, Robin Patrick of VA, 20 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and his beloved cat, Cuddles.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by two sisters Mary McMillen, Inez Sliter and an infant brother.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 330 Broad St., Saegertown, PA 16433 where Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 7th, 2010.
Interment will take place in Saegertown Cemetery, Hayfield Twp.
