Charles "Tink" Andrew Hood

Charles "Tink" Andrew Hood, 75, of 9844 Williamson Rd., Meadville, passed away Friday, July 31, 2015, at Meadville Medical Center.

Charles was born in Meadville, on April 4, 1940, a son of the late Charles Herman and G. Pauline (Gregg) Hood.

Charles worked as a farmer most of his life. In his younger years, he worked with his father running a saw mill business on Williamson Rd. Over the years he had attended Assembly of God Church, Living Waters Church and was involved with a Bible Study at First Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed deer hunting and coon hunting, especially with his father. He will be remembered as a hard worker.

Charles is survived by sisters Alberta Mae Worth and her husband Dwayne of Cornelious, OR, Darlene Gaines and her husband James of Colorado Springs, CO, his brothers Frederick L. Hood, George Edward Hood, both of Meadville, Ronald Leland Hood of Andover, CT, nieces and nephews Johnny, Dawn, Mary Ann, Tina, Tim, James, Karen, Rhonda, Robert, Traci, Eric, Todd, Robin Suzanne, Jodi, James and Joseph.

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by a nephew, Michael.

Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, August 6, 2015, from 2-4 and 6-8 at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville, where Funeral Services will be held at 8:00 PM with Pastor Philip Torre officiating.

Charles will be laid to rest in Greendale Cemetery, West Mead Twp.
