Charlotte D. Henretty

Charlotte D. Henretty, 94, of Saegertown, passed away Monday, September 12, 2022, at Crawford County Care Center.

Charlotte was born in Meadville on March 7, 1928, the daughter of the late Howard and Dorothy (Smith) Drissel.

On March 22, 1986, Charlotte married S. George Henretty; he preceded her in death on February 4, 1993. She previously had been married to Robert M. Schlosser on September 1, 1951; he preceded her in death on October 5, 1998.

She was a member of Saegertown United Methodist Church where she had been the church organist for more than 60 years.

In 1990 Charlotte retired from Northwest Rural Electric Co-op where she had been employed as the Executive Secretary to the General Manager for 12 years. She previously had been employed as Secretary to the Assistant Superintendent for Penncrest School District and by the former American Viscose. A 1945 Saegertown High School graduate, Charlotte went on to further her education by graduating from Erie Commercial College in 1947. Joining the Hayfield Grange in 1945, Charlotte held several offices during her 77 year membership . Over the years she taught private piano lessons to numerous students in the Saegertown area. Charlotte's hobbies including reading, crocheting, baking, playing the piano and organ but her greatest pleasure came from spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

Charlotte is survived by four children Les Schlosser of Dubois, Bill Schlosser of Saegertown, Brenda Miller (Roger) of Meadville, Kevin Schlosser (Connie) of Saegertown, eight grandchildren Ryan Schlosser (Christine), Megan McGoron (David), Tom Schlosser (Christin), Jason Miller (Jaime), Ashley DeFrancesco (fiance Jace Ferringer), Emily Diana (Michael), Kole Schlosser (fiance Jillian Rosipko), Carlie Schlosser; eight great grandchildren; and three nieces.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, sister Ruth Hawley, and a niece.

Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, September 15, 2022, from 4-5:30 PM at Saegertown United Methodist Church, 620 Euclid Ave, Saegertown, where Funeral Services will follow at 5:30 PM with Pastor Jeff Little officiating.

Charlotte will be laid to rest in Saegertown Cemetery.
