Charlotte 'Char' Ann Edmiston passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2013, at the age of 72 at her home in Saegertown.

Char was born May 6, 1941 in Duluth, MN to Gordon and Marcella Stresow.

She graduated from Denfeld High School in Duluth and attended nursing school in Chicago, IL. While in Chicago, she met Tom and they were married on June 14, 1961. Char retired in 2003 after 20 years of employment at the Crawford County Care Center where she worked as a Nursing Assistant and a Dietary Aide. Char enjoyed attending church, Book Club, Ladies of the Place, Bible Study and 'WORMS'. She also enjoyed over 30 years of card club with the gals, bus trips to casinos and participating in the Eat and Travel Club. Char will be remembered for her whit and for being a great mom-what she was truly meant to be.

Char is survived by her son Jeffrey Edmiston and his wife Julie Wilcox of Elliottsburg, her daughter Gail Kelly and her husband Frank of Meadville and her son Jonathan Edmiston and his wife Patty of Conneautville, five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Char is also survived by a sister Ruth Stresow of San Francisco, CA, numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. Also surviving are her special friends Ruth Gagne of Alabama, Lea Marshall, Barbara Cummings and her special buddy Isaac Levis all of Saegertown.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Tom, her brother Roger Stresow and her brother Paul Stresow.

There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Service will be held at Twelve Apostles Lutheran Church, 358 Euclid Ave., Saegertown on Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at 4:44 PM with Pastor Karen Lundwall, Interum Pastor, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Twelve Apostles Lutheran Church, PO Box 640, Saegertown, PA 16433 or Hospice of Crawford County, 464 Pine St., Meadville, PA 16335.

Arrangements are under the direction of Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 330 Broad St., Saegertown, PA 16433.
