Charlotte T. Wells

Charlotte T. Wells, 103, of Meadville, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at Wesbury United Methodist Community.

Charlotte was born in Boulder, CO, on September 16, 1919, a daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Meeker) Taylor.

On January 22, 1944 Charlotte married Theodore Leroy Wells; he preceded her in death on July 20, 1995.

Over the years Charlotte touched the lives of many while volunteering her time and talents. An active participant of the Retired Seniors Volunteer Program, Charlotte was a "Grandma Reader" at West End Elementary School for thirteen years and she served as a hostess for Woodcock Corp of Engineers for eleven years. She was a member of the Eat and Travel Club and the Telephone Pioneers. Her hobbies included gardening, feeding the birds and creating one of a kind greeting cards. She also enjoyed making and sharing her own homemade bread for over 40 years.

Charlotte is survived by a daughter Barbara Knapp (Bob) of Edgewood, MD, daughter-in-law Patricia Mailliard (Lynn) of Meadville, four grandchildren Kristine McLaughlin (Robert) of Winter Garden, FL, Debbie McGuire of Apopka, FL, Jason Wells (Marion), Steven Wells (Erin) both of Meadville, five great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband Theodore of 51 years, Charlotte was preceded in death by a son Howard Wells, a sister Ruth, three brothers David, Charles and Richard.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
