Chester 'Chet' A. A. Weier, Jr., 68, of 16069 US Hwy. 6 & 19, Apt. 4, Saegertown, passed away Monday, February 13th, 2012 at home
Chester 'Chet' was born at home in Manitowoc, WI on July 21, 1943, a son of the late Chester A. A. Weier, Sr. and Lucille (Dassey) Weier.
He married Constance Marie Smith; she preceded him in death on January 9, 2007.
He was an active member of St. Bernadettes Roman Catholic Church, Saegertown, where he had served as usher, custodian and had also been a member of the mens club.
Over the years Chet had been employed by the former Abex, McCrosky Tool, both of Meadville and Aetna Machine of Cochranton. A veteran, Chet entered the US Army on November 2, 1964 and served his country until his honorable discharge on November 1, 1966. He was a graduate of Saegertown High School. Chet enjoyed sewing. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family as he loved his children and grandchildren deeply and unconditionally; his grandchildren were his pride and joy.
Chet is survived by three daughters Tammi M. Weier of Erie, Traci E. Jordan and her husband Greg of Saegertown, Jodi A. Weier of Fairfax, VA, four grandchildren Shaun M. Weier of Meadville, Rachael L. Jordan, Kendra R. Jordan, Nickoli C. Jordan all of Saegertown, a brother Robert Weier, a sister Clara Meyers both of WI, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife Connie of 39 years, Chet was preceded in death by his parents Chester A.A. Weier, Sr. and Lucille Dassey Weier Conjurski Klein, his mother-in-law Gladys DeMaison Smith Prenatt, his father-in-law Edward 'Bud' Smith, six siblings Agnes Headstrum, Charlotte Burmeister, Edith Leslie, Lucille Mikael, Wade Weier and William Weier.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bernadettes Roman Catholic Church, Renner Ave., Saegertown, at 3:00 PM on Saturday, February 18th, 2012, with Fr. David Poulson, Pastor, officiating.
Interment will take place at Saegertown Cemetery on July 21, 2012, followed by a memorial picnic.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Crawford County, 448 Pine Street, Meadville, PA 16335.
