Chris E. Tau, 61, of 20126 N. Richmond Rd., Cambridge Springs, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at home.
Chris was born in Meadville, on March 13, 1956, a son of the late Everett and Mary Ellen (Lasher) Tau.
On October 14, 1995 Chris married Trudi I. Fosburg; she survives.
Shortly after his 1974 graduation from Cambridge Springs High School, Chris became employed in the Maintenance Department of Lord Corporation where he worked for nearly 35 years until the onset of his illness. Chris enjoyed being outdoors, whether he was in the woods trapping, archery hunting, hunting with his muzzleloader, going to hunting camp with the guys or riding his Harley Davidson, Chris was happy. He loved the times he and Trudi spent riding his Harley throughout the U.S., into Canada and across Alaska's Arctic Circle. When Chris was indoors his energy was always positive. He spent time building muzzleloaders, took up playing the banjo, guitar and the bass and he remained happy. Regardless of the circumstances Chris always gave thanks to God, remained faithful to Him and recognized Him as his Lord and Savior. Chris welcomed God's mercy and grace, and for that, he is now very happy. Chris will be deeply missed.
In addition to his wife, Trudi, of 22 years, Chris is survived by his children Rita and Chip Davis of Saegertown, Kimberly and Joe Duda of Cambridge Springs, Ruth Anna and Andrew Hoke of Venango, seven grandchildren Karmen and Tyler Davis, Joseph, Nathan and Carter Duda, Natalie and Lainey Hoke, a sister Sharon Nelson and her husband Stacy of Pocatello, ID.
In addition to his parents, Chris was preceded in death by a brother in law Bob Sharp.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday from 4-7 at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE.
Private services will be held at Venango Cemetery where Chris will be laid to rest.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Crawford County, 766 Liberty St., Meadville, PA 16335 or Roswell Park Foundation, Elm & Carlton Streets, Buffalo, NY 14263.
