Christine Brown

Christine Brown, 70, of Meadville, passed away Monday, March 8, 2021, at Meadville Medical Center.

Christine was born in Memphis, TN on March 12, 1950, a daughter of the late Ernest and Esther (Wofford) Banks.

Her family moved to Meadville in 1963, where she later learned a trade at Vallonia Industry, and then became employed there. She married Jack Brown and together they raised four children. Chris was a wonderful, happy go lucky type of person. Being the loving person that she was, if she disagreed with you she would say, "I don't mean no harm, but....." Christine happily accepted Christ as her Savior in the late sixties and never stopped believing in Him. Chris loved to sing. Praise and worship was her heart. No matter where she lived, she would always find a church to praise her LORD. Chris and Jack lived in Anderson, SC, until Jack passed away and then she moved back to Meadville.

She is survived by four children Duane Banks (Katie), Loraine Brown (fiance' Odell Powell), Melvin Brown, Jason Brown (Jennifer); 14 grandchildren Labresha Brown, James Silvis, Jada Silvis, Leah Silvis, Jason Brown, Jr., Antjaun Brown, Devontai Brown, Quentin Banks, Tyler Banks (Tara), Nijerias Jones, Alisa Santiago, Sydney Santiago, Anthony Santiago, Eliana Santiago, Leah Santiago; six great grandchildren Zyvonn Brown, Eziah Brown, Kyasia Brown, Razie Brown, Alaura Banks, Luca Banks; many step grandchildren; siblings Gloria Banks, Joyce Davis (Charles), Ernest Banks, Juanita Seawood; a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents Christine was preceded in death by a grandson Quincy Brown (Pamela); two step children Ernest Brown, Coley Brown; a brother in law Jerry Seawood.

Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, March 20, 2021, from 11-1 at Beacon Liberty Street Temple Church of God in Christ where a Home Going Service will follow at 1 PM with Pastor Larry Wofford officiating.
