Clara M. Rosenberg

Clara M. Rosenberg, 95, of 685 Maple St., Meadville, passed away Saturday, April 3, 2010 at home.
Clara was born in Meadville on February 15, 1915, a daughter of the late Mark and Caroline (Rondinara) DeSantis.
On May 14, 1939 Clara married Louis S. Rosenberg; he preceded her in death on September 11, 2007.
She was a member of St. Brigid Roman Catholic Church, Meadville.
Prior to her marriage, Clara was employed by the former Talon, Inc. of Meadville. She was a graduate of Meadville High School, class of 1933. An active member of the Democratic Party, she served as a Committee Woman. Clara was a dedicated homemaker who liked to knit, crochet and was an excellent cook.
Clara is survived by Scarlett R. Shultz of Parkland, FL, Michael A. Gallegor of Guys Mills, Marchelle McGrew of Belle Vernon who were not her biological children; however she and her husband, Louis, helped to raised them as such, with great love and affection. She is also survived by two sisters Mary Varano and her husband Mick, Ida Peirce, both of Meadville, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband Louis of 68 years, Clara was preceded in death by infant twin daughters Cynthia and Chrystal, two sisters Theresa Montana, Nellie Abbondanza, four brothers Salvatore, Henry, Jack and Sam DeSantis.
Family and friends are invited to call on Monday from 2-5 at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville, PA 16335 where a scripture service will be conducted at 4 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Brigid Roman Catholic Church, 383 Arch St., Meadville, at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, April 6th, 2010 with Fr. Mark OHern, Pastor, officiating.
Entombment will take place in St. Brigid Cemetery, West Mead Twp.
