Coley Brown

Coley Brown, 65, of 447 Poplar St., Meadville, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2016, at home.

Coley was born in Macon, GA, on August 27, 1950, a son of the late Jack and Azzielene (Corbin) Brown.

Over the years Coley had been employed by the former Avtex and Abex Corporations. He had also worked in construction as a concrete worker with Pete Powell and the Boyd family. Coley was a graduate of Cambridge Springs High School. He enjoyed fishing, grilling, barbecuing, attending family gatherings and making others laugh. What he enjoyed most was his tight circle of family and friends.

Coley is survived by a son Coley Brown, Jr. of Meadville, six grandchildren Marquis Jones, Shakeal Brown, Jaquai Boyd, Nautica Brown, Rakim Brown, Naja Brown, one great grandchild Brilla Brown, three sisters LeVonne Brown of CO, Kay Brown of AL, Lorraine Brown of Meadville, five brothers Sanford Brown of Meadville, Charles Brown of Pittsburgh, Johnny Henry of Meadville, Elvis Brown of Franklin, Melvin Brown of SC, Jason Brown of Meadville, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Coley was preceded in death by a brother Ernest Brown.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of family.

Arrangements are under the direction of Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville.
