Courtney Von Hinderliter

Courtney Von Hinderliter, age 51, a resident of 363 1/2 Main Street Saegertown, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, June 17, 2017.

He was born on August 29, 1965, in Meadville. Courtney was the son of Mary R. Hinderliter of Saegertown and the late Floyd I. Hinderliter. He graduated from Saegertown High School in 1983 and attended Edinboro University.

At the time of his death, was employed at MacLean-Fogg Component Solutions where he was well-liked. He previously worked at Ainsworth Pet Nutrition, formerly Dad’s Dog Food. He had served as the Manager for Northside Laundromat for 33 years and served as Business Manager for local rental properties.
Courtney was baptized and was a member of the Twelve Apostles Lutheran Church in Saegertown. He also attended the Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall.

Courtney was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed skiing and fishing. He had a great interest in biology and a special fondness and fascination for the insect world. He was an accomplished stained-glass artisan. Courtney seldom had a bad word to say about anyone and will be remembered for his quick smile and his desire to talk to anyone about just about anything. He enjoyed sharing that the first time he ever golfed, he received a hole-in-one.

Courtney is survived by his daughters Jewel Marie (aged 3) and Lily Ann (aged 2) of Saegertown whom he loved deeply, his mother Mary R. of Saegertown, two sisters: Mary Louise of Meadville and Bonnie Hinderliter Mallon of Pittsburgh and her children Emily and Andrew, two brothers: Mike Reed (Kathy) of Saegertown and William (Joy) Hinderliter of Flatrock, North Carolina and his children Logan, Grant and Jillian. Courtney is also survived by a niece Katie Reed and her daughter Kylie Risjan of Cambridge Springs.

Family and friend are welcome to call on Thursday, June 22, 2017, from 2-4 and 6-8 at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 330 BROAD ST., SAEGERTOWN.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday at Twelve Apostles Lutheran Church, 358 Euclid Ave., Saegertown, with Rev. Mark Fischer, Pastor, officiating.
