Dale G. Denison, 67, of 16422 Townhouse Rd., Saegertown, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2016, at Meadville Medical Center.

Dale was born in Meadville, on February 13, 1948, a son of Lois E. (Brooks) Denison and the late Brice W. Denison.

On August 7, 1971 Dale married Linda G. Garland; she survives.

He was a member of Saegertown Community Church.

After 29 years of service, Dale retired in 2014 from the Security Department of Wesbury where he had begun his employment as Head Groundskeeper. During this time he also owned and operated Lindale Landscape & Nursery. Over the years he was employed by the former American Viscose, by O'Neil Construction, building homes with Bill Alderman, was involved with the construction of the I-90 and I-79 Interchange and with the blasting of the Union City Dam. A 1966 graduate of Linesville High School, Dale earned his Horticulture and Landscaping Degree from Penn State University, Main Campus.

In 1986 Dale began a street ministry which resulted in the founding of the Pregnancy Center of Meadville in August, 1989. He served as President of the Board of Directors since its establishment. Dale had a heart for missionary work having traveled to Brazil to help establish and build schools, to New Guinea to do construction work with Wycliffe Builders and to Jamaica three times to repair and install water tanks to provide safe, clean drinking water. Dale also enjoyed hunting, fishing, wood working, and working with his plants. He will be sadly missed.

In addition to his wife, Linda, of 44 years, Dale is survived by a daughter Julie A. Denison and her finace' Tony Lembo of Meadville, two grandchildren Lindsey and Devin Sekerski of Meadville, his mother Lois E. Denison of Linesville, a sister Diane L. Lehr of Vermilion, OH, two brothers Mark W. Denison and his wife Corazon, Bryce E. Denison both of Linesville, many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Brice W. Denison.

Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville, where Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 10, with Pastor Richard Haemer of Saegertown Community Church officiating.

Dale will be laid to rest in Southside Cemetery, Shermansville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Pregnancy Center of Meadville, 657 Pine St., Meadville, PA 16335 or Saegertown Community Church, 604 Main St., Saegertown, PA 16433.

Linda and Julie would like to express their deep gratitude to Ray, a long time family friend, for all he did for Dale, We Love You. Also to the Mill Village Ambulance Service for their efforts, and sincere thanks and gratitude to the doctor and staff of the Emergency Department at Meadville Medical Center for their professionalism, care and compassion during this difficult time.
