Daniel "Danny" N. Peters

Daniel “Danny” N. Peters, 85, of Townville, passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 26, 2024, at Embassy at Park Avenue in Meadville.

Danny was born on June 28, 1939, to the late Marion and Dorothy (Flickinger) Peters of Saegertown. He married Charlotte (Christine) Peters on July 13, 1968. She passed away In March of this year.

He was a member of Abundant Life Christian Fellowship in Townville.

Danny was a graduate of Saegertown High School and a proud member of the great Saegertown Marching Band, where he played the drums. He held various jobs over the years at General Electric, PA Game Commission, Seiler Farm Equipment, Prestige Delivery Systems, Vallonia Industries, and driving for the Amish community. Danny was actively involved with the Townville Fire Department, where he was the Fire Police Captain for years, and with the Townville Ambulance Service. At Townville Old Home Days, he could be found selling ice cold pop for the firemen from his tractor and trailer.

He enjoyed watching sports of all kinds, but he especially liked stock car racing. His favorite drivers were Dale Earnhardt, Sr. and Max Blair. He also loved to support Maplewood sports.

Danny is survived by a daughter, Danette (Peters) Little and her husband Brian of Meadville, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, Danny was preceded in death by brothers, Robert L. Peters and Kenneth E. Peters, both of Saegertown; and sisters Twila (Peters) Brooks of Meadville and an infant sister.

A Celebration of Life will be held at on October 26, 2024, at Abundant Life Christian Fellowship, 33328 N. Main St, Townville. Visitation will be at 1:00, with the service starting at 2:00.
