Daniel "Dj" Hartley

Daniel "DJ" Jeremiach Hartley, 25, of 20780 Alden St. Ext., Meadville, passed away Saturday, September 8, 2018, at home.

DJ was born in Savannah, GA on September 19, 1992, a son of Frank D. and Cristie L. (Palmer) Hartley, Sr.

On July 7, 2017 DJ married Carrie Sue Flowers; she survives.

DJ was employed as the kitchen manager of the Sugar Lake Hotel and had previously been employed at Station 4 and Vernon Central. He enjoyed running, kayaking, hiking, playing basketball, Fantasy Football, video games, especially Fortnite and he was an avid Atlanta Falcons fan.

In addition to his wife, Carrie, DJ is survived by his mother and step father Cristie and Timothy Frye of Guys Mills who had raised him, his father Frank D. Hartley of Guyton, GA, a sister Cassidy Frye of Guys Mills, a brother Franklin D. Hartley of Cochranton and his best friend Jake Freund, who was like a brother.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, uncles and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, September 13, 2018, from 12:30-1:30 PM at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, where Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 PM.

DJ will be laid to rest in St. Hippolyte Cemetery, Guys Mills.
