Daniel Martin Rogers

Daniel Martin Rogers, 56, of 13804 Oakview Dr., Meadville, passed away suddenly on Sunday, December 17, 2017, at Meadville Medical Center. 
 
Dan was born in Bridgeton, NJ on June 28, 1961, a son of Allan and Wilma “Sandy” (Brocious) Rogers.
 
On May 19, 1984 Dan married the love of his life Robin Denise Carpenter; she survives. 
 
He was of the Methodist faith.
 
Following his 1979 graduation from Meadville High School, Dan began working at his dad's business, Rogers Plumbing.  When his dad retired in 1998, Dan and his brother, Mark, took over the business until 2009 when Dan left the business after complications from surgery, with Mark continuing on for another three years.  Dan volunteered with Big Brothers and Big Sisters where he was paired with his still close “little brother” Warren Marks.  He was involved with CCYSA and CCYHA where he coached for many years.  For five years he served as Bulldog Hockey Tournament Director.  He was an avid Penguins fan.  An outdoors man, Dan enjoyed snowmobile and ATV riding with his family.  He also loved camping, fishing, archery and rifle hunting, be it large or small game.  He enjoyed his trips to Wyoming where he successfully hunted two mule deer and trips to the “hunting camp” with family and friends.  Dan loved looking after his hunting dogs and house dogs.  He will be greatly missed. 
 
In addition to his wife, Robin, of 33 years Dan is survived by two sons Cory D. Rogers of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Casey J. Rogers and his girlfriend Courtney N. McGraw of Deerfield Beach, FL, his parents Allan and Sandy Rogers, his mother in law Twila Carpenter all of Meadville, a brother Mark Alan Rogers and his fiance Shelley King of Saegertown, a brother in law John Carpenter and his significant other Loretta Damron of Columbus, OH, nieces and nephews Kelly Recker and her husband Rob, Kyle Rogers, Kari Carpenter, Ryan Carpenter and his wife Katie, great nieces and nephews, and a large extended family.
 
Dan was preceded in death by his father in law Dennie Carpenter.
 
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday from 4-8 at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, where Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, with Pastor Glen VanCise of Chapmanville Community Church, Titusville, officiating.
