Daniel S. Bontrager

Daniel S. Bontrager, 88, of Cochranton, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, August 2, 2020.

Daniel was born in Burton, OH, on November 18, 1931, a son of the late Sol and Anna (Byler) Bontrager.

He was united in marriage on November 16, 1961 to Fannie Weaver; she survives.

In addition to his wife, Fannie, Daniel is survived by two children Robert Bontrager of New Orleans, Kathryn Bontrager Williams of Cochranton, five grandchildren Angela, Keane, Jessica, Joshua, Jamie, three great grandchildren, five sisters Alma Gingerich of Irvona, Sara Stutzman of Nashville, MI, Ada Wagner of Orwell, OH, Mary Lawrence (Gail) of Jerico Springs, MO, Irene Detweiler (Andy) of Munfordville, KY, a brother Roy Bontrager (Esther) of Middlefield, OH, many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday, August 3, 2020, from 2:30 on and all day on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at the Michael Peachey residence, 7789 Vincent Road, Cochranton, where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 AM, with Bishop Andy Hostetler officiating.

Interment will be in Frenchtown Amish Cemetery, Guys Mills.
