Darlene Denman

Darlene Denman, 76, of Meadville, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Embassy of Park Ave with her family by her side.

Darlene was born in Paterson, NJ, on January 29, 1948, a daughter of the late John and Dorothy (Rita) VanKersen.

On November 11, 1977, Darlene married David J. Denman; he survives.

Darlene had worked as a cashier for many stores in the Meadville area including the former Quality Markets, BiLo's, Tops and Dollar Bargain, retiring after 40 years of service. She was an avid pool player and was a member of the Crawford County Women's League. Darlene loved playing BINGO and enjoyed following the Pittsburgh Pirates.

In addition to her husband David of 46 years, Darlene is survived by six children; Lisa Carney (fiance' Scott Dean), David Denman, Jr., Tanya Denman (companion Shawn Basham) all of Meadville, Dawn Larina (John) of Bloomingdale, NJ, Tammy Garcia-Denman of Little Falls, NJ, Karen Riley (Travis) of Newark, NJ; 13 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; siblings Deborah Feliciano (Isaac) of Littles Falls, NJ, John VanKersen of Pompton Lakes, NJ; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister Judith Ann Felio.

Family and friends are invited to call from 1-3 and 5-7 PM on Friday, July 5, 2024, at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, where funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Saturday with Rev. Jeff Conley officiating.

Darlene will be laid to rest in Kiser Hill Cemetery.
