Deacon Craig Leroy Jenkins

Deacon Craig Leroy Jenkins, 61, of Live Oak, TX, formerly of Meadville, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2016.

Deacon Jenkins was born in Meadville, PA, to Patricia (Hunter) and Sidney Jenkins II on July 20, 1954.

Craig was the eldest of 5 children and attended elementary and junior high schools in Meadville. Craig was baptized in the name of Jesus at an early age in the family church.

“Bear”, “Big Daddy”, “Uncle Bear”, and “Heavy” as Craig has been fondly called for many years was married. In 2003, Craig moved to San Antonio, Texas he ultimately became a member of Greater Faith Temple Apostolic Church (now known as Genesis Full Life Fellowship Church). During in his time of service, Craig was an usher and was ordained a Deacon on July 6, 2008 under the pastorate of Pastor Douglass Thompson.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Jenkins, Live Oak, Texas and family which includes three children; Jermaine Jenkins, Edmonds, Washington; Tamika Alston, Bothell, Washington; Triscell Wade, Meadville, Pennsylvania; seven granddaughters, two sisters; Karla Jenkins, Stockton, California; Nina Jones, San Jose, California, two brothers; Sidney Jenkins III, Washington and Duane Jenkins, Atlanta, Georgia and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 27, 2016, at Greendale Cemetery, Randolph St., Meadville.

Arrangements are under the direction of Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville.
