Della O. Palmer

Della O. Palmer, 89, of 20881 State Hwy 198, Saegertown, formerly of 403 Grant St., Saegertown, passed away Monday, July 20, 2015, at Crawford County Care Center.

Della was born at home in Richmond Twp., on April 29, 1926, a daughter of the late Merle D. and Grace (Carpenter) Orr.

On April 12, 1947, Della married Howard A. Palmer; he preceded her in death on October 19, 1989.

She was an active member of Saegertown United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Craft Ladies and volunteered with the church Food Pantry.

Della enjoyed being a full time homemaker and raising her family. She was a member of the former Saegertown Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary and a graduate of the former Townville High School. During her first eight years of school, she attended the former Richmond Township School. Della enjoyed traveling to see her children and grandchildren. She loved looking after and taking care of her entire family. She will be sadly missed.

Della is survived by four children Bruce H. Palmer and his wife Judith Ann of Anthem, AZ, Dale A. Palmer and his wife Cindy of Palmyra, NJ, Joseph A. Palmer and his wife Laura of Saegertown, Mary Ann Palmer and her companion Alvin Eakin of Linesville, six grandchildren, Brian Palmer and his wife Cindy of MD, Brenda Palmer of Scottsdale, AZ, Christopher Palmer and his wife Jodi of Phoenix, AZ, Timothy Palmer of Anthem, AZ, Ryan Palmer and his wife Angela of Palmyra, NJ, George Freeman and his wife Amy of Woodbine, GA, two step grandchildren Tomi Dilworth of Saegertown, Summer Tribley of Greenville, ten great grandchildren Chloe, Hunter, Conner, Olivia, Morgan, Shane, Fionna, Hannah, Alaric, Jacob, ten nieces and nephews

In addition to her husband Howard of 42 years, Della was preceded in death by a daughter, Jane Marie Skornickel, two sisters Mary, Beth, three brothers Richard, Ralph and Charles.

Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, July 23, from 2-4 and 7-9 at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 330 Broad St., Saegertown.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM at Saegertown United Methodist, 620 Euclid Ave., Saegertown, on Friday, with Rev. Darrell L. Greenawalt, Pastor, officiating.

Della will be laid to rest next to her husband, Howard, in St. Brigid Cemetery, West Mead Twp.
