Dolores R. Mozina, 80, of 13259 State Hwy. 98, Meadville, passed away Thursday, February 27th, 2014 at Meadville Medical Center.
Dolores was born in Brownsville on September 13, 1933, a daughter of the late Luke and Edith (Stinner) Redigan.
On May 31, 1955 Dolores married Frank W. Mozina; he preceded her in death on January 10, 2007.
She was an active member of St. Brigid Roman Catholic Church where she served as an Eucharist Minister and was the coordinator of the R.C.I.A. Program for over ten years.
Dolores enjoyed being a homemaker. She was a very selfless and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. While raising her family, she helped her husband on the family farm which was located on Norrisville Rd. In her younger years she worked in her fathers grocery store. Dolores enjoyed reading but her greatest joy in life was being with her family, especially her grandchildren. Dolores will be remembered for her outstanding character. She lived her daily life in her beliefs of faith, hope and love, especially love.
Dolores is survived by five children Diane Lang and her husband Don of Conneaut Lake, Frank W. Mozina, Jr. and his wife Cora of Linesville, Lisa Schriefer and her husband Tim of Erie, Joy Mitchell and her husband Greg of Saegertown, Leigh Mozina of Meadville, seven grandchildren Tim Schriefer, Jr. and his girlfriend Cecily White, Kelly Smith and her husband Brodie, David Lang, Michael Lang, Carley Mitchell, Emily Mitchell, Abigail Mozina, her sister Edith Dunn of Eighty Four, her brother Luke Redigan and his wife Virginia of Boca Raton, FL, many nieces, nephews and her dog, Freddie, who was her faithful and daily companion.
In addition to her parent and her husband Frank of 51 years, Dolores was preceded in death by a brother John 'Jack' Redigan.
Family and friends are invited to call on Monday from 4-7 at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville, where a Scripture Service will be conducted at 4:00 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Brigid Roman Catholic Church, 383 Arch St., Meadville, at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, March 4th, 2014 with Fr. Johnathan Schmolt, Pastor, officiating.
Dolores will be laid to rest next to her husband, Frank, in St. Brigid Cemetery, West Mead Twp.
