Donna Kay Johnson

Donna Kay Johnson, 73, of Meadville, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at UPMC-Hamot, Erie.

Donna was born in Clearfield, on April 21, 1951, a daughter of the late Ralph Waldo and Victoria (Cresswell) Wood.

On November 18, 1989 Donna married Gary L. Johnson; he survives. 

She was of the Baptist Faith and also attended St. Agatha Church with her husband, Gary. 

Following her 1969 graduation from Clearfield High School, Donna furthered her education at the University of Pittsburgh where she earned her Dental Hygienist Degree. Over the years she worked as a Dental Hygienist Educator at Mercyhurst College, at the Gertrude Barber Center, and after her move to Meadville, for various local dentists, including Dr. Michael Swick. She retired from the ARC of Crawford County. Donna enjoyed volunteering with The Salvation Army and Family Children & Community Association (FCCA). She also enjoyed yearly trips to Canada each summer to visit with her Canadian family. Her greatest joy was spending time with her granddaughters, especially at the beach collecting beach glass. She loved them dearly. Donna will be sadly missed. 

In addition to her husband, Gary, of nearly 35 years, Donna is survived by her son Seth Johnson of Meadville; two beloved grandchildren Ava and Asa Pritchard.

In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her brother William Wood.

Family and friends are invited to call from 11-1 and 3-5 PM on Monday, November 18, 2024, at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, where Funeral Services will follow at 5 PM, with Fr. Jeffrey Lucas officiating.

Donna will be laid to rest in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Corry.
