Doris M. Grinnell

Doris M. Grinnell, 97, of 31 N. Park Ave., Meadville, formerly of 10819 Timbercrest Dr., Meadville, and also formerly of Ashtabula, OH, passed away Monday, March 2, 2015, at Meadville Medical Center.

Doris was born in Fairfield Twp., on August 17, 1917, a daughter of the late John L. and Nellie (Stallsmith) Lauderbaugh.

On October 26, 1936 Doris married Charles R. Grinnell; he preceded her in death on December 25, 1995.

Doris enjoyed being a homemaker and raising her family.

Doris is survived by a son Robert "Neil" Grinnell and his wife Sandra of Conneaut Lake, nine grandchildren Robert N. Grinnell, Jr. and his wife Tanya, Michael D. Grinnell and his wife Tina, Heather L. Blair and her husband Chad, Laura J. McCracken, Kevin L. Grinnell and his wife Debby, Robin Kulik and her husband Scott, Tim Grinnell, twins Cheryl Widener and her husband Mike, Carol Grinnell, 16 great grandchildren Amber, Crystal, Chase, Marah, Devon, Tamara, Jessica, Jordan, Sarah, Paul, Ivan, Raquel, Lisa, Meghan, Anthony, Jaiden, seven great great grandchildren, a daughter in law Nancy Grinnell of Cleveland, OH, three nieces Audrey Lauderbaugh, Phyllis Phomas, Carol Lauderbaugh, and a nephew Eddie Lauderbaugh.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Charles, of 59 years, Doris was preceded in death by two sons Richard F. Grinnell, Charles Brian Grinnell, two brothers Glenn Lauderbaugh, LeRoy Lauderbaugh, three sisters Carrie Lauderbaugh, Grace Grinnell and Mary Lauderbaugh.

Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday from 5-8 and on Friday from 10:30-11:30 at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville, where Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 AM with Rev. Jeffrey Conley, Pastor of Meadville Alliance Church, officiating.

Doris will be laid to rest next to her husband, Charles, in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, N. Kingsville, OH.
