Edward Sauers, 78, of Saegertown, passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at Meadville Medical Center.
Ed was born in Monaca, on November 18, 1942, a son of Anna Mae (Perring) Sauers and the late Samuel Sauers.
In 1970 Ed became employed by Labors International Union of North American-Local #833. He also owned the "Wild Country Dance Hall" in Saegertown from 1999-2018. A US Army veteran, Ed served his country honorably from 1961-1963 where he was stationed in Korea. His hobbies included farming, gardening and he had an appreciation for all types of tractors, especially Allis Chalmers tractors. Ed enjoyed listening to country music, especially the old artists.
Ed is survived by two daughters Samantha Temple (Christopher) of Saegertown, Marsha Atkinson (David) of Meadville; his mother Anna Mae Sauers of Imperial; three grandchildren Shelly Cadle (Nelson), David Atkinson (significant other Alyssa Mitchell), Raven Temple; two sisters Vivian Sparbanie of Carnegie, Lorraine Burns of Imperial; a brother Raymond Sauers of Dearborn, MI; his companion and best friend Janice Boylan of Cambridge Springs; many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, Ed was preceded in death by a brother David Sauers.
Family and friends are invited to call from 1-3 and 5-7 PM on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 330 BROAD ST., SAEGERTOWN. Funeral Services will be private.
