Eileen M. Simcheck, 85, of 25521 Henry Road, Cambridge Springs, passed away Sunday, September 17, 2017, at home, surrounded by loved ones and friends.
Eileen was born at home, on Mackey Hill Road, Union City, on May 9, 1932, a daughter of the late John Paul and Iva Mae (Brown) Blakeslee.
On July 29, 1949, Eileen married George P. Simcheck; he survives.
She was a member of First Church of God, Cambridge Springs.
Eileen loved being a homemaker She took great pride in keeping a neat and clean home, baking and cooking for her family. Although being a homemaker came easy to her, she was a hard worker all of her life. She did whatever work was needing done on the family farm, including milking cows and operating farm equipment. She was also sure to keep her family or anyone who worked on the farm well fed. Her family credits her for their own personal drive and success; she would not allow them to give up on any task. A simple and humble woman, Eileen would think nothing of putting her life on hold to take care of anyone or everyone. Her deep love of her children, her grandchildren or anyone else's children was second to none. She enjoyed watching and baby-sitting children, gladly helping Theresa baby-sit whenever she had the opportunity. As for her family, she had unconditional love and compassion for all young children. Eileen also enjoyed going to church, shopping, attending family picnics by the pond and driving the truck during hunting season. Eileen will be remembered for how much she loved to love her family. She will be deeply missed.
In addition to her husband George of 68 years, Eileen is survived by three sons George Simcheck, David Simcheck and his wife Andrea, Stephen Simcheck and his wife Theresa all of Cambridge Springs, four grandchildren Jeremy Simcheck and his wife Abigail, Travis Simcheck and his wife Ashley, Stephen Simcheck, Zachary Simcheck, five great grandchildren Nicholas, Mason, Addison, Katelyn and Wyatt Simcheck, a daughter in law Linda J.
